Carina Alvarez is a multi-faceted Actress, Dancer and Singer based out of New York City. She has spent the last 17 years training in Dance at the American Dance & Drama Studio, along with other New York dance companies, including Broadway Dance Center. She has trained with Urban Dance League, Generation Nex, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, and many more. Carina has participated in Masterclasses with Broadway’s Julius Anthony Rubio, and many others. Her back-up dance credits include with Brandon Jerrod, and Kasha Destini. Additionally, she has performed at the Arthur Ashe Kids Stadium on television with Shaun T, The McClain Sisters, and Saving Forever.

Carina holds an Arts Endorsed Diploma in Theatre Performance from the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts (FSSA) in Long Island City. While at FSSA, she played roles such as; Brenda/Catherine (the Children’s Hour), and Arlie (Getting Out). She now attends Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, set to graduate in the Spring of 2022 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts, with a minor in Theatre Technology (concentration in Lighting Design/Engineering). To date, at Adelphi she has participated in thirteen productions, both on stage and off, including #00 (The Wolves), The Fresh Skin, Phoebe (Willoughby), and Evil Tina (She Kills Monsters), as well as Master Electrician for The Brothers Grimm and Almost Maine. She is set to return to the Adelphi Main-Stage one final time as Marmion in Comic Potential in March of 2022.

In addition to performing and working backstage, Carina is also a substitute Hip-Hop and Contemporary Fusion dance instructor for ages 7-16 at American Dance & Drama Studio.
